Introduction

A consortium of developers, consisting of Taylor Wimpey, Bellway Homes and The Perbury Group is proposing to develop 800 homes at Abbotswood, Romsey. The Abbotswood Consortium has been working alongside Test Valley Borough Council since December 2006 with a view to promoting a housing scheme on the site via a planning application which meets policy requirements.

The public exhibition and this website sets out its initial proposals for the site. We would welcome your feedback on these proposals.

The Abbotswood Consortium and the consultant team will review the comments received and respond where possible. An outline planning application will then be submitted to Test Valley Borough Council for consideration.

Subject to receiving outline, and then detailed approval, the first houses could be built by late 2008/ early 2009. The development could be completed by 2014.
