statement
A Concept Statement
is a simple, clear expression of the kind of place a new development
should create. (Copies are available here). A Concept Statement is
a brief explanation of how development on a site should contribute
towards the local authority's and community's vision. A Concept Statement
is NOT a detailed layout, but a broad set of principles.
The Concept Statement
has been produced in consultation with the public and Council. It
has been used to inform the master plan and draft Design Statement.
The Concept Statement will be a material consideration in the planning
application process.
