Land
use rationale
The North Bristol
Fringe is dominated by employment and educational uses. This
encourages inward commuting. The South Gloucestershire Local Plan
seeks to redress this imbalance by encouraging housing growth. More
people will therefore, have the opportunity to live near to where
they work, thereby reducing the distance people have to travel.
Local planning policy
The South Gloucestershire Local Plan (Jan 2006) sets out local planning
objectives. Policy H1 - Site 14: Land at Harry Stoke, Stoke Gifford,
sets
out objectives for the site. (A copy is available here).
