Green Issues Communications is inviting the development industry and community
representatives to take part in a discussion focusing on the proposed development
of over 200,000 new homes in the south east, as announced by John Prescott
last month in the Communities Plan. The seminars will present the viewpoints
of a number of key authorities on development issues within both local communities
and the industry as a whole.
There are still places left on the series of seminars, taking place at
the key areas affected by the government's plans.
The seminars are to be held at the following venues :

The University Arms Hotel, Cambridge - 25 March 2003
Holiday Inn, Milton Keynes - 27 March 2003
Ashford International Hotel, Ashford - 4 April 2003
Speakers will include Damian Green MP for Ashford (4 April), Cllr Nichola
Harrison - Executive Member for Environment, Cambridge City Council (25 March),
Cllr Cec Tallack - Cabinet Member for Resources and Regional Affairs, Milton
Keynes Council (27 March) and Ian Christie - Visiting Professor for Sustainable
Development, the University of Surrey. Tom Curtin, managing director of Green
Issues Communications will update the seminar on recent developments in consultation
processes and community liaison.
