Castle Point Borough Council is currently consulting on its Local Development Framework (LDF) Core Strategy and Generic Development Control Policies Preferred Options Report for the development of the Borough in the period until 2021. This consultation ends on 10 November 2006.

Within this strategy the Council is required to set out how it intends to address the priorities put forward by the East of England Regional Assembly in its Regional Spatial Strategy, which outlines the need for 4,000 new homes and 2,000 new jobs in the Borough by 2021.

Hickfort is proposing a development for inclusion in the LDF, which will contribute significantly to addressing the housing need and facilitating economic growth, whilst doing so in a sustainable and considered manner.

As a resident of Castle Point your views on this are particularly welcome and the exhibition aims to inform you of the Council's procedures and of Hickfort's proposals, as well as encouraging your participation in the ongoing Local Development Framework process.

Through a public exhibition we want to listen to your views and gain constructive feedback about the proposals.

Following the exhibition Hickfort Ltd will carefully view the feedback provided and will endeavour to incorporate the views expressed by the local community wherever possible in any proposals that may evolve.
