Welcome to the
web page for new plans for land owned by Gladedale in Streatley.
The plans have developed following the public exhibition in January
2005 and are part of Gladedales continuing commitment to consultation
with local residents and the Parish Council.

This
site gives local residents the opportunity to view details about
the new proposals, the background research that has been undertaken
since the last exhibition and the next steps. It is immensely important
to us that residents have the opportunity to have their say and
ask questions of those involved in the scheme.
Please do not forget to fill in a feedback form in the Next Steps
section.
Since
our last Public Exhibition in January 2005, Gladedale have continued
to take every step to bring forward proposals for their land that
addresses the concerns of local residents whilst meeting Gladedales
commercial objectives.
An important part of our work since the last exhibition has been
the carrying out of many surveys and assessments concerning:
environment and ecology
trees
flood risk issues
highways and transportation
Conservation Area and village character issues
landscaping
We are now pleased to be able to present the findings of this. We
also congratulate the village on its very thorough and professional
approach to the creation of Streatleys Parish Plan, and we
wholeheartedly welcome this plan and recognise its importance.
We have tried to reflect its policies and aspirations in the proposals
that are being presented today.
As we stated in our presentations last year, our proposals are based
on a maximum of 12 dwellings, all focused upon the land to the south
of the High Street. We regard the preservation of the land to the
north of the High Street as key to the character of the village,
and a key part of our overall proposal.
