the proposals

The proposed scheme involves the removal of the existing Imperial House and its replacement with a new development on a similar footprint.

Four individual office buildings form the core of the site, ranging from four to five storeys - no higher than the neighbouring police station - separated by public walkways and a central boulevard.

Towards the rear of the site, two residential blocks comprising a total of 72 homes overlook Vansittart Park to the west.

Around 400 parking spaces will be provided both above and below ground. A public square, likely to incorporate cafes and restaurants, is proposed at the centre of the site offering a social environment at the heart of an employment zone and acting as a logical stop-off point for visitors en route to and from the park.

The park itself, long underused, has the potential to be significantly enhanced in coordination with the council and other organisations, providing the community as a whole with an impressive new facility. Throughout the life cycle of the scheme, it is intended that this project will be a prestigious, world class development unique to Windsor.
